Monster High
USA, 2010

Series of 15 short animated episodes produced by doll manufacturer Mattel solely for the internet as a means to promote their new 'Monster High' fashion dolls franchise. The characters in this series are related to or are offspring of famous monsters from monster movies and horror fiction. One of them is Cleo De Nile, 'Daughter of The Mummy', and "a true Egyptian princess, complete with headdress, exotic jewelry, and oh yeah, occasional stray bandage wrapping". She is depicted as the queen and mean girl of Monster High, the school they are attending. In the episode "Idol Threat" Cleo uses the magic of an ancient Egyptian statue to give her anything she asks for, but it backfires in the end.
