Countess Elizabeth Bathory, history’s infamous lesbian vampire arrives from Transylvania to take over the Los Angeles castle of Count Dracula. Elizabeth orders the castle's servant Renfield to find a way for her to survive in daylight. He learns from Professor Foran, an archaeologist from the local museum, the legend of Hor-She-Sut, an evil Egyptian sorceress whose mummy is kept at the museum. Using the mummy as a conduit, Elizabeth contacts Hathor, the Egyptian 'blood goddess' and sister of the sun-god Ra. Hathor reveals that, by drinking the blood of three young women and also stealing their Ka's (spiritual souls), Elizabeth will be able to survive in sunlight. This Elizabeth does, but when she subsequently defies Hathor, Renfield summons the goddess. Hathor possesses and re-animates the Mummy’s body. Elizabeth and the Mummy battle outside the castle, but Renfield is finally able to subdue Elizabeth by wielding a sacred 'Blood Scarab' like a crucifix before her and impale her heart using one of the mummy's severed arms like a stake, thus saving Hathor.
